Specialized training in the Department of Applied Mathematics begins in the second year, after students have completed the common curriculum of the Faculty of Fundamental Science and Engineering in the first year. In the fourth year, each student is assigned to a laboratory to participate in cutting-edge research in applied mathematics. Fourth year students may also take graduate courses.
